You can infuse with fire at the beginning and than for the first levels only put points into more HP and stamina which will make things early on quiet a bit easier. Also infusions are not permanent.

WebJul 21, 2024 · Refined makes the weapon scale with dex and str. Raw is better at early game since your stats would be low OR is just used when you want to focus your points on something else. Refined is better later since as your stats increase, so will the scaling and dmg. As for the +96 thing, that is how much dmg is added through scaling off your stats.
