WebDec 7, 2011 · Loosen the screws on the cover and rotate it until the flap is open. If the engine runs normal then the choke either needs a better ground or the heat coil is not working. Some electric chokes ground thru the carb body, if a gasket is installed under the cover it wil not work. This type typically only have a one wire connection.
