I cant seem to get a definitive answer to whether the direct like for like replacement of a fortic hot water tank requires Building control notification and certification? WebDec 16, 2024 · So l am a bit stuck the tank is a fortic cylinder tank with the water tank just on top it's a all in one tank though it mite be crossflow but lve checked and all okay l did read that the coil may have a leak in it and that's why when l open the gate valve it will not stop filling up but lm not sure any ideas? D

It might even be a primatic fortic, I can't see any evidence of an open vent going to a f&e tank. Feb 26, 2011. #5. 1-switch it off. 2-isolate cold feed to tank. 3-open hot tap till tank is empty. 4-break into dhw hot feed and do what u need to do! 5-Fill cold tank. no need to drain full cylinder once tank is empty your sorted.
