WebJul 23, 2011 · The gel and finish work on the Haynie has improved alot in the last year and is now extremely nice for a rolled edge boat. As for Majek, great finish work, rigging depends on dealer, it can be hard to drive at speed for a novice (depending on setup). Rough water ride is not as good as the other two boats on your list. The haynie magnum will cut the chop better. motor for motor, the extreme is faster too. can't go wrong with either boat. the absolute worst thing about the majek, is dealing with premiere yamaha if that's where you buy it.

The haynie is a bigger boat. The 24 haynie floats in 10inches, will stay on plan @ 10 mph and runs rpm mph. If you cross shallow water then look at the cats. In the end you need to pick 3-4 you like with different hull styles and go run them. A redfish line, haynie cat, and blazer will run significantly different.
