WebFor maximum safety, use the “Star Class” filter in the Galactic map, keeping only the scoopable stars: O, B, A, F, G, K, M (+ possibly non-scoopable but rare stars, such as neutrons). The important thing is to disable the classes L, T and Y, very frequent but not scoopable. Do not forget to apply the filters when plotting the route. But a number of times I've … Web30 May 2016 · A couple of tips: when you plot your route, double check to make sure your ship lands on a scoopable star before running out fuel, and if you aren't already, practice setting your throttle to zero when making your jump; there is absolutely no room for error when you start encountering neutron stars.
Web20 Jul 2015 · You can only scoop from stars of the classes A, B, F, G, K, M, O ('KGB-FOAM' to remember it). Didnt know that, interesting! It makes sense actually. You can only scoop from stars that have hydrogen in them (or in their corona). You ship uses hydrogen as fuel. Red/brown dwarfes have burned all their hydrogen.
